Ride The Wayne
People come from everywhere to ride their APVs in southeastern Ohio and many of our Perry County communities allow street riding.
TECUMSEH TRAILS
If you’ve got your own APV and you’re looking for a challenge, Tecumseh Trails is a great place to join the fun! The Trails, located in the Wayne National Forest, are maintained and operated today by a trio of devoted adventure fans, Jeff Dodson, Terry Dodson and Frank Thompson.
Tecumseh Trails is 1,376 acres of riding trails, open Friday, Saturday and Sunday with rough camping available on the property covered by your $20 trail admission. Please note: Riders and non-riders pay for admission which helps the team maintain the trails.
You’ll find the Tecumseh Trails entrance at 8621 State Route 155 SE in Hemlock, Ohio. You can connect with Tecumseh Trails through their Facebook page. There’s not a phone in the forest so shoot them a message there if you have any questions.

ABOUT THE WAYNE
The Wayne National Forest is Ohio’s only National Forest and… it didn’t exist 60 years ago!
You read that right. The Wayne was planted, tree-by-tree, as a WPA project funded by the U.S. government during the years following the Great Depression.
Young men from all over Ohio came to live in manufactured barracks housing in southeastern Ohio and went to work creating roadways, small dams and planting trees. Their work rejuvenated and brought forth 250,000 acres of land left barren by soil erosion and poor agricultural practices in the region.
When you’re riding through the rolling trails, you’re experiencing living history that shows us resilience is always possible even in the most dire circumstance. Enjoy the canopy of trees, the wildlife to see and the adventure of our Appalachian wilderness. Enjoy your ride!
