Kayak Buckeye Lake
Buckeye Lake’s shoreline is shared by three Ohio counties with Perry County on the southeastern portion of the lake. The only launch for canoes and kayaks on Buckeye Lake is in Thornville on the Perry County shoreline. The launch was christened in 2021, is handicap accessible, and is available dawn to dusk. Bring your favorite watercraft and take a leisurely journey around the Lake!

Located right on the channel, Buckeye Lake Retreat is a home with 2 bedrooms – one with a full-sized bed and the other with a full-sized bed, a daybed and a roll away bed. A great place for families and fishermen! Walk right out the back door to enjoy the gentle splash of the channel waters or cast a line.
The Tipis at Cherokee Bison Ranch
Sleep in nature at The Tipis at Cherokee Bison Ranch where you’ll be near their herd of 45 bison grazing peacefully in a pasture. Their giant, 22-foot tipis accommodate up to 6 people, 2 on the queen bed we provide, with ample room for additional cots or air mattresses that you provide. They have cots available to rent as an add on. You may also pitch additional tents or hang hammocks with room for up to 10 people in all. There are fire pits inside and outside the tipis.

Family owned and a local favorite for Thornville and Buckeye Lake residents with a famous Pickle Pie and Chief’s Italian Foldovers.
