Fishing | New Lexington Reservoir
Spend some relaxing time on the water at New Lexington Reservoir – a 36-acre lake located north of New Lexington on County Road 149 (off State Route 13).
Many locals fish here – it’s mostly a boat fishing lake with both fishing and electric motorboats permitted.
You can launch portable boats from the south and midwest banks of the lake. The east bank has weed growth in warm weather and some standing timber, making it a place where the fish like to hang out. Spring fishing for Crappie is good in this east bank area near the timber.
You’ll also find Largemouth Bass with top weights around 6 – 7 pounds. Panfish, Bluegills, Sunfish, Bullhead Catfish and Channel Catfish are all here.
