Woodcock Watch

Join Perry County Naturalist Jessie Bennett on the grounds of the Ludowici Community Foundation Park for a special Perry County Park District event.
It’s Woodcock Watch time! Starting at 7:30 on Monday, March 27th, with any luck, we will see and hear the unique courtship and aerial displays of the American Woodcock. But it will require us to be a good and quiet audience.
There will be a short (2-3 minute) walk from the shelter house for optimal viewing.
Some mud may be encountered so please dress for the weather and ground conditions.
Bring a chair or blanket to sit on if desired and a flashlight for the walk back.
This is a free program will last approximately an hour – additional Woodcock Watches are scheduled in March – check for more dates in the calendar!
