World Migratory Bird Day Bird Hike

REGISTRATION REQUIRED
Spend the afternoon with Naturalist Jessie Bennett on a hike through meadows and woodlands to enjoy the thrill of sighting birds commonly seen in the area or those who may be passing through to their summer homes. Binoculars will be available for you to borrow, but bring your own if you have them.
The hike will be approximately two miles long and may be considered moderate in difficulty due to elevation changes on hills. We will be on unimproved natural trails and may even go off trail.
Registration and Release & Waiver of Liability
This hike is on private property, about one mile from Somerset Public Square. Only those who register and agree to sign the Release and Waiver of Liability form will be admitted.

Our Hosts
Again, this program is on private property that is not open to the public except organized events such as this one. Let’s thank them by observing these simple requests. Do not disturb the wildlife inhabitants and native plant life. There is to be NO SMOKING, NO ALCOHOL, and NO PETS anywhere on the property.
What to Bring
Drinking water is not available at this location; bring your own. Keep in mind there are NO RESTROOMS on site. In Ohio, it is always tick season! Consider bringing insect repellent. Depending on weather conditions and the time of year, you may want to bring sunscreen. Dress for the day’s weather including appropriate footwear for muddy or slippery conditions.
