Perry county is rich with fascinating history and people. Join the Perry County Park District and the New Straitsville History Group at the New Straitsville Museum for an afternoon of storytelling. Sue Miller, a New Straitsville native, will start us off with some general history about mining, Robinson’s Cave, growing up and living in New Straitsville. Then, we’ll open the floor for the audience to share related comments, stories or memories. Come and listen or come and share! Storytellers will be limited to 3-5 minutes, so come prepared.
Also, lookout for more of these programs in different areas of the county to highlight the history there.
