The Somerset Artists Co-Op began in 2012 when a group of enthusiastic,  hard working individuals with a passion for art decided to bring the arts to the village of Somerset.  Our mission is to create and celebrate art within the community.  Many local artists draw inspiration from the area’s natural resources such as clay and natural gas to throw one-of-a-kind ceramics, picturesque scenery to paint captivating landscapes, homegrown gourds to fashion storage containers and much more.

Somerset Artists Co-Op is a non-profit organization and is supported by contributions from local businesses, students’ class fees, membership dues, gallery commissions, fund raisers and a grant from the Ohio Arts Council.

The Co-Op promotes involvement of our members and our community by offering a variety of classes and workshops.
Our fees are kept affordable in order to keep artistic opportunities within easy reach.  Our workshops are as creative as the imaginative minds that develop them.  A short list includes:

– Wheel-turned, hand building, and slip-poured Pottery
– Fiber Art
– Stained Glass

We welcome inquiries for private classes – let us know what you’d like to explore with friends and family!
